The advent and continual spread of digital photography means people now have more and more digital photographs from which they can choose to make innovative wall displays.
What was once a rare and expensive product has become much more widespread, with many canvas art suppliers and photographers offering the service on the internet for low prices.
But what sets them all apart? Will the end result look the same, and does it matter which supplier you choose? These are questions we are often asked and, and we know from our continued research that not all photo on canvas services are equal !
So in this article we thought it would be useful to offer a guide to choosing a quality product, including the kind of questions you should ask a supplier.
Of course, once we’ve armed you with the information you need to make an informed choice, naturally we hope that you’ll choose You2Canavs for your Photo on canvas!
The key to choosing a great supplier and product is assessing the information they provide, a good canvas supplier should offer complete information as to the materials they use.
Frames should be of a good thick depth, and should feature a bevel to ‘lift’ your canvas face off the frame.
We use only the finest quality wood to frame your canvas, complete with cross bracing where necessary. Quality tulip wood is used to frame your canvas, the wood is very light but very strong with no bending. The frames are cut with a curved profile and rounded edges, these ‘lift’ the canvas off the frame for a flawless finish. Our frames are 1 3/4 inch in depth and feature a unique bevel.
Frames should also come complete with tension wedges. The wedges work by pushing apart the unfixed corners of the frame slightly, making the canvas taut.
As with most woven materials, canvas won’t stay this tight indefinitely and may relax a little over time. You may find after a year or so that your canvas art needs to be retightened slightly. Therefore, when choosing your canvas art, beware of non-adjustable, DIY frames; you may end up with a relaxed print in the future!
Our frames are easily adjustable with the supplied wedges. For occasional retightening, place your canvas print face down on a soft, flat surface such as a carpet. Then simply tap the ends of each wedge lightly with a small hammer. Be sure not to over-tighten; a few light taps will normally suffice.
Canvas Prints should be finished in a protective coating to lengthen the life of your canvas and protect it from sunlight and general wear and tear. We include a gloss protective coating in the price of your canvas print.

You2Canvas is highly experienced in producing beautiful canvas prints products and would like to show you some of our recent canvas examples.
32 x 24 inch canvas
The following 2 images are examples of our 32 x 24 inch canvases. The 32 x 24 inch provides good value wall decoration at £59.99 and works especially well with high quality photography

40 x 16 inch canvas
The 40 x 16 inch canvas is also a popular choice from our customers, the size of the canvas means it is necessary to have a reasonably high quality image. With the right image this size canvas can be a striking decoration in a rectangle format.

24 x 24 inch square panels
We would like to thank ‘Zircom’ one of our commercial clients for sending us these images of canavses we provided for their office wall decoration.

Black and white 24 x 24 inch canvases
Here are two great examples of how good your photo on canvas product can look! Black & White is a popular style and so to is the 24″ x 24″ inch canvas.

Our most popular canvas size…

12 x 12 Canvas without bleed
This canvas is a 12 x 12 inch canvas ‘without bleed’. To have a canvas without bleed means having a white border around the sides of your canvas, this ensures that all the picture remains on the front of the frame.

12 x 12 inch Canvas with bleed
If you order a canvas with bleed we can still keep almost all of the image on the front of the frame because we can use spare parts of the image to ‘Wrap’ around the frame.
